Meet Candino PlanetSolar Watch

The acclaimed watch manufacture Candino has initiated a partnership with PlanetSolar team in order to develop a special model, which pays tribute to the first round-the-world trip powered by solar energy.

The dynamic PlanetSolar watch has been encouraged by the boat, specially constructed for implementation of this ecological adventure.

Available with a 44.5 mm case, the new timepiece features a mind-blowing asymmetric design, which will surely win the hearts of numerous watch enthusiasts. The case is equipped with a crown, which protection resembles the lines of the giant hulls of PlanetSolar.

The timekeeper is adorned with an imposing grey and white dial. The PlanetSolar watch can be also proposed with a black dial, equipped with colored indexes. Its shape echoes the structure of the 500 square meters of photovoltaic panels, surmounting the catamaran. The perfect visibility of the display is assured by a magnifying lens, integrated into the glass over the date aperture, and the inserts, produced from luminous material.

The new horological creation from Candino offers a GMT function, provided by the fourth hand. Thus, the local time and the second time-zone can be read at the same time. The additional hand marks the progression of 24 hours on the external scale. The watch bezel is fitted with black and grey semi-circles, representing day and night.

Due to these elements, the Candino PlanetSolar watch acquires a touch of style, which underlines its unmistakable look.
