Zenith reveals its
new Pilot Big Date Special watch. The novelty has been inspired by the hand-wound Zenith chronograph model introduced in the early 1960s for the A. Cairelli company, famous as the traditional supplier of the Italian air force.
The
new Zenith watch boasts remarkable functionality. The
42 mm case is rendered in stainless steel and demonstrates alternating polished and satin-brushed finishes. The case is
50-meter water-resistant.

The
matt black dial has been sandblasted five times. It demonstrates a finely-balanced layout. The small seconds counter is positioned at 9 o’clock, while the 30-minute counter is found at 3 o’clock. The counters are embellished with a snailed decoration. You will notice the double-date window at 6 o’clock.
The hours and minutes are indicated by sporty, dynamic hands treated with black ruthenium and provided with Superluminova coating. The dial hosts refined Arabic numerals.

The Pilot watch is animated by a
selfwinding mechanical movement - the
El Primero 4010 calibre. The 306-part, 31-jewel movement operates at a frequency of 36’000 vibrations per hour. The sapphire crystal case-back allows to drop a glance at the movement’s fine finishes. Its winding rotor is enhanced with thin Côtes de Genève pattern. The mechanism offers 50 hours of power reserve.
The
new Zenith Pilot Big Date Special watch is mounted on a calfskin strap with hand-sewn topstitching or a Milanese mesh steel bracelet.
