It captures the time with spectacular hour and minutes hands. The hour hand is held by a transversal pin. The minute wheel, meanwhile, is marked with the brand’s logo.
The true genius of the display, however, lies in a clever arrangement of 6 retrograde seconds hands. Driven by gears, they return to initial positions with help of strip-springs.
Taking over from each other for ten seconds, the delicate hands fascinate the audience with their incredible dancing. Equipped with Arabic numerals, the watch face also offers a date indication, which appears in the aperture at 6 o’clock.
The functions, provided by the new Pierre DeRoche GrandCliff Milady Royal Retro watch, are driven by an extraordinary self-winding Dubois Depraz calibre movement, embellished with 58 jewels. The mechanism utilizes a decorated and engraved rotor. The caliber also incorporates a 12-pivot central bridge and 6 chamfered, seconds bridges, also engraved and diamond-studded.
The caliber finds its natural home in a 42.5 mm 316L steel case. The bezel is highlighted by 64 diamonds. The overall weight of the jewels comes to 1.28 carats. Besides the screw-down crown, the case is also equipped with double-sealed push-pieces.
The front side of the watch body is fitted with a glare-proofed glass, while its back part features a sapphire crystal. The watch is capable of withstanding water pressures down to 100 meters.
The new Pierre DeRoche lady’s watch is teamed with a light-tone alligator leather strap, enhanced with a folding clasp. The strap is adorned with contrasting stitching, which makes a fine match with the spirit of the display.
