Piaget Unveils Polo Forty-Five Automatic Watch at SIHH 2009

At SIHH 2009, Piaget is proud to unveil a new sporty yet elegant timepiece to join the iconic Polo watch collection, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

The Piaget Polo Forty-Five Automatic watch represents a fresh interpretation of the brands luxury classic. The watchs case is crafted in titanium. It has been destined to become the first ever titanium model to be a part of the collection formed exclusively by timepieces produced from 18K gold.

The titanium case of the new Piaget watch measures 45mm in diameter and demonstrates a nice alternation of brushed and polished surfaces. The timepiece is coupled with a stylish waterproof rubber strap.

The silver or black highly-legible dial of the watch displays hours and minutes by central hands, and sweep seconds by a distinctively red central hand. The date function is presented via a trapezoid-shaped window at 6 oclock. The dial is reliably protected by a sapphire crystal.

The Piaget Polo Forty-Five Automatic watch accommodates an automatic mechanical movement developed and manufactured by Piaget - the automatic 800P caliber. The movement possesses distinctive features of the Piaget family of movements: rhodium-plated bridges decorated with circular Cotes-de-Geneve pattern, and blued screws. The central rotor of the movement is also decorated with circular Cotes-de-Geneve, and the Piaget coat of arms. The balance wheel of the mechanism operates at a frequency of 21,600 alternations per hour. The movement gives an advantage of a 72-hour power reserve.

The Piaget timepiece is 100-meter water resistant.
