Oct 14, 2011
Keen as ever to pursue the evolution of its collections, the house of Piaget has created its new Dancer Piece Exceptionnelle one-of-a-kind watch. With its dazzling exterior, the novelty will continue turning heads long after it makes its first impression.

The new Piaget watch appears dipped in a sticky bath of almost 1,230 specially-shaped diamonds. Its body is crafted from 18-carat white gold. Enclosed in the case is a mesmerizing dial, completely submerged beneath the precious stones.

The dial and crown at 3 oclock are paved with 392 brilliant-cut diamonds, with the weight of 4.3 carats, and 88 baguette-cut diamonds, totaling to 6.4 carats. The display indicates hours and minutes.

The hands of the new Piaget Dancer Piece Exceptionnelle watch are powered by an ultra-thin hand-wound in-house mechanical movement - Piaget 830P. It demonstrates a circular Cotes de Geneve pattern. The caliber incorporates a circular-grained plate and bevelled bridges with blued screws. Studded with 19 jewels, it runs at the rate of 21,600 vibrations per hour and provides a 60-hour power reserve.

The new Piaget watch comes fitted with an18-carat white gold bracelet and an integrated clasp, embellished with 277 brilliant-cut diamonds and 468 baguette-cut diamonds. Their weight constitutes 2.6 carats and 19.8 carats respectively.
