Piaget Altiplano Skeleton Watch - Sprinkled with Diamonds

Oct 28, 2011
The house of Piaget is delighted to unveil its new Altiplano Skeleton watch, imbued with an irresistible aura of dazzling refinement.

The new Piaget watch comes packaged in an 18-carat pink gold case. It measures 34mm in diameter and is 7.3mm thick. The case is illuminated by the play of 69 brilliant-cut diamonds, totaling to 0.6 carats. The pink-gold colored flange, meanwhile, is paved with 91 brilliant-cut diamonds, which weight constitutes 0.3 carats. The water-resistance of the case is assured down to 30 meters.

The new Piaget Altiplano Skeleton watch shows off an open-worked dial, which indicates hours, minutes and small seconds at 10 oclock. Driving the functions is a manufactory-made hand-wound mechanical skeletonized movement - Piaget 838P. It is embellished with 174 brilliant-cut diamonds, totaling to 0.5 carats.

Adorned with sunburst guilloche motif, the caliber incorporates a main-plate set with black sapphire cabochons, bevelled and hand-drawn bridges, satin-brushed steel parts and circular satin-brushed wheels. The movement runs at the rate of 21,600 vibrations per hour and provides a 62-hour power reserve.

The new Piaget watch is coupled with a white alligator leather strap. It joins to an 18-carat pink gold pin buckle.
