The novelty is set in a round-shaped titanium case, inlaid with sand-blasted black coating. The new Pequignet watch measures 44mm in diameter. The top of the case is covered by a glare-proofed sapphire crystal. It is held in place by a black titanium and red gold bezel, marked with Roman numerals.
The sapphire glass is also used for the model’s back part, secured by 4 screws. At 3 o’clock the case reveals a red-gold screw-in crown with black rubber Fleur-de-Lys embellishment in relief. The water-resistance of the model is assured down to 100 meters.
The new Pequignet Moorea Royale watch accommodates a dual direction automatic caliber Royal movement. It runs at the rate of 21,600 vibrations per hour and allows for a 100-hour power reserve. The mechanism incorporates circular-grained and snailed bridges and a main plate, graced with Cotes de Geneve finish, as well as micro-blasted oscillating weight with ruthenium treatment. It also features a gilt Fleur-de-Lys logo.
The movement animates an array of functions, presented on a black carbon fiber dial. It reveals the brand’s logo and applied indexes in 5N18 red gold. The impeccable legibility of the dial is provided by the inclusion of luminous material into central hour and minute hands.
The watch face also offers a big date and days indicator at 12 o’clock, a small seconds counter between 3 and 5 o’clock and a power reserve display between 7 and 9 o’clock.
The new Pequignet watch is teamed with a black rubber strap, finalized by a double folding buckle.
