
Tiffany Co and Patek Philippe announce the opening of a Patek Philippe salon to take place in April 2008. The salon, the first in the U.S., in Tiffany's New York flagship store, will exclusively showcase the renowned timepieces of the legendary watchmaker.
Located on the mezzanine in Tiffany's flagship store at 5th Avenue and 57th Street, the 3,000-square-foot salon will display Patek Philippe horological masterpieces.

Patek Philippe is happy to introduce its
new Ref. 5235 Annual Calendar Regulator men’s watch. The new Patek Philippe watch is set in a
round-shaped 40.5mm case, sculptured in
18K white gold. It portrays a
classic Calatrava design. The case is
30-meter water-resistant.
Another asset of the movement is a highly-resistant material of
silicon (silicium), employed in the manufacturing of the escape wheel, the lever of the escapement and the balance spring. The silicon components ensure an incredible accuracy of the

Another point of attraction on the surface of the dial is an

The Patek Philippe Ref. 5101P joined the world of watchmaking in 2003. The sophisticated timepiece was highly appreciated by a whole army of watch enthusiasts. The platinum rectangular-shaped case of the watch housed an exclusive movement, with two mainspring barrels to guarantee a 10-day power reserve, and a one-of-a-kind tourbillon escapement. This year, Patek Philippe unveils an 18K rose gold version of the watch.
The story of Patek Philippe watches, providing a 10-day power reserve, started in 2000, with the introduction of the
10-day Ref. 5100. The timepiece initiated the trend for watches, offering 4-, 6-, 8-day power reserve.
In 2003, as already mentioned above, Patek Philippe introduced the
Ref. 5101P. The timepiece boasted the 10-day power reserve and a tourbillon escapement and up to this day, it is still the only wristwatch with a winding crown that can boast such an outstanding autonomy.

The Patek Philippe Ref. 4973R Annual Calendar watch is a dazzling variation of the brand's famous annual calendar watch, a real sensation that joined the ladies collection in 2005. The 18K gold case of the ladies' watch is pave-set with 431 round brilliant diamonds. The crown radiates with 14 round brilliants, while the tang buckle is adorned with 27.

Patrizzi & Co Auctioneers will unveil
"Important Pocket Watches, Wristwatches and Clocks". The key focal point of the event will be some unique timekeepers to be presented by the Swiss watchmaker
Patek Philippe.
About
200 of exceptional watches will be introduced in the course of this very auction, which is going to open the fall/winter season. It is the first event of the kind in a series of auctions planned to be held in Geneva, Milan and New York.
The
auction will take place at Patrizzi & Co, 595 Madison Avenue, Suite 605. Buyers will have an opportunity to make their bids through phone, in written or online through the company’s website - www.patrizziauction.com. The showroom will host a
preliminary exhibition on Saturday, October 3rd from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Just as well the company timepiece experts will devote this period of time to making assessments and taking items for future auctions.
In the course of the auction the buyers will not be charged a commission, which is not typical for most auction houses. This commission usually constitutes from 20 to 25 percent savings from the hammer price.
A series of unique watches, manufactured by
Patek Philippe, will be in prime focus of the sale.
Featuring two faces, the
Sky Moon Tourbillon watch, Ref. 5002, happens to be the brand’s most complicated creation.
Sculptured in 18k yellow gold, this timekeeping companion demonstrates a black dial. The model offers the functions of the perpetual calendar and that of a minute repeater, equipped with a tourbillon escapement. The reverse side of the watch, meanwhile, exposes a sky chart as well as a sidereal time.
Patek Philippe will also put up for an auction
two sets of men's watches, issued as a limited series. The distinctive flair of these models lies in their dials, embellished with a cloisonne enamel.
Manufactured in 2004, the
"Barques" watch, Ref. 5076, was restricted to 10 sets only.
Every timepiece, powered by a hand-wound movement, is rendered in platinum and demonstrates a different sailboat. Each of
four "Birds of Paradise" watches, Ref. 5075, is crafted from 18k white gold. These watches were produced in a limited series of just 15 sets.
According to
