The Patek Philippe Aquanaut Luce watch line destined for elegant ladies has been joined by a new haute joaillerie variation. The 18K white gold case of the watch is set with 387 round brilliant diamonds. The folding clasp is set with 86 diamonds; the crown is embellished with a single round brilliant diamond, mounted culet up.

The "Honey Beige" Aquanaut Luce joins the "Pure White", and "Mysterious Black" variants created before; the names have been suggested by the colors of the tropical rubber straps and embossed grid-pattern dials. Ever since the Manufacture was founded in 1839, the case and movement of every Patek Philippe watch have been given an individual number which is then listed in the company's archives. These records serve to authenticate each watch but reveal nothing of the owner's identity. In 2000, Patek Philippe launched an ongoing project to trace these owners.
After almost 170 years of uninterrupted production, the majority of Patek Philippe watches have changed hands, being passed from one family to another, or from one generation to the next. read more
