Admire Patek Philippe Stainless Steel Minute Repeater Reference 3939 Watch

Patek Philippe has launched its new Stainless Steel Minute Repeater Reference 3939 unique watch, to be unveiled at Only Watch 2011. Aimed at supporting the medical research for the Duchenne Muscular Distrophy, this charity auction will take place on September 22nd, 2011, at 4 p.m. in Monaco.


The new Patek Philippe watch is available in a 33.3mm case, rendered in stainless steel. Its architecture incorporates an interchangeable full back and a sapphire crystal case-back. Integrated into the case is a slide piece, which activates a chime with two gongs. The model is not only water-resistant, but also humidity and dust protected.

Ticking inside the new Patek Philippe Stainless Steel Minute Repeater Reference 3939 watch is a mechanical manually-wound caliber R TO 27 PS movement, certified by COSC. It incorporates a minute-repeater mechanism with a tourbillon escapement. The tourbillon is visible on the bridge side.

The caliber comprises 336 individual parts. Set with 28 jewels, it beats to the rhythm of 21,600 vibrations per hour and supplies a 48-hour power reserve.

The timepiece boasts a black dial. It is completed with contrasting Arabic numerals and Breguet-style hour and minute hands. The small seconds are shown in a counter at 6 o’clock.

Completing the noble appearance of the new Patek Philippe watch is a black leather strap.
