Glashutte Original Reveals PanoMaticLunar XL Watch

Glashutte Original has launched its new intriguing creation, PanoMaticLunar XL, to be officially unveiled at Baselworld 2010. Ultra-modern and elegant, this model has been designed in a minimalist style. Presented in a variety of grey overtones, the watch proudly exposes its classic lines.

The novel Glashutte Original watch is offered with a stainless steel case, demonstrating both polished and satin-finished surfaces. It features the dimensions of 42 mm x 12.5 mm, diameter and height indicated respectively.

The case also exhibits a sapphire crystal case-back, which opens the view to the Caliber 90-02 automatic movement. Dimensionally, this mechanism stands 7 mm high and measures 32.6 mm in diameter. The movement runs at the rate of 28.800 vibrations per hours and provides a 42-hour power reserve. It is equipped with the Incabloc shock protection system.

The watch case is enhanced by a galvanized matt grey dial, protected by a sapphire crystal with a double-sided anti-reflective coating. The dial is completed with the iconic off-center hour, minute and seconds counters, finely milled and galvanized in the same dark grey tint. A graceful moon-phase indicator makes the Glashutte Original watch instantly recognizable. It depicts a shining silver moon and stars against a background of a fine-grained silver sky.

The dial reveals applied white gold Arabic numerals for "12", and hour-markers, manufactured from the same material. Pointing to the hours, minutes and seconds are white gold hands. Another eye-catcher of the dial is its panorama date indicator. Presented in white numerals on a dark grey background, the date doesn’t require a double window.

The Glashutte Original PanoMaticLunar XL watch is capable of withstanding water-pressures down to 3 ATM. It is teamed with a finely-worked grey alligator leather strap.
