Officine Panerai is proud to unveil its new hand-wound mechanical movement - the P.999 caliber, designed, developed and produced absolutely independently at the Neuchatel manufacture.

The P.999, characterized by reliability, robustness and precision, has a special structure with wide separated bridges, a distinctive feature of all the other manufacture calibers.

The P.999 caliber measures 27.4 mm in diameter and is 3.4 mm thick. Thus, the movement is a little smaller than other calibers of the brand. It represents a perfect heart for timepieces smaller in diameter and thickness.

The 154-component, 19-jewel, single-barrel movement gives an advantage of a 60-hour power reserve. It animates small seconds at 9 o’clock. It has a balance wheel performing 21,600 alternations per hour. read more

The Panerai Luminor 1950 collection is famous among watch lovers for its attractively designed retro-themed timepieces. Now, the collection welcomes the Panerai Luminor 1950 8 Days Rattrapante watch, ref. PAM00319. The timepiece is available in a limited number of just 300 pieces.

The new Panerai watch features a harmonious dial and accommodates the brand’s exclusive in-house hand-wind movement, the Caliber P.2006/3.

The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. Having incorporated three barrels, the movement provides an 8-day power reserve, featured via a linear power reserve indicator. read more

In 2009, Officine Panerai unveils a limited edition timepiece celebrating the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge. The international vintage boat event, with Panerai as its sponsor, is a great challenge attracting the most incredible yachts, ready to compete in a series of regattas on an international circuit.

The new Panerai Luminor 1950 Regatta Rattrapante 44 mm DLC, rightfully considered to be a real sailor’s instrument, has been produced in a limited edition of 500 pieces. The precision of this split-seconds chronograph is crowned by the COSC-chronometer certificate.

The one-of-a-kind cushion-shaped case of new Panerai watch, measuring 44mm in diameter, is sculptured in stainless steel provided with a black DLC treatment. DLC, implying "Diamond-Like Carbon", improves the hardness of stainless steel, and significantly enhances its corrosion-resistance.

Avid lovers of Panerai watches in Hong Kong will be offered an exceptional opportunity to visit a free exhibition of the brand’s Manifattura timepiece line and the three novel in-house manufactured P.9000 self-winding movements, presented by Officine Panerai at the SIHH 2009 show in January.

The P.9000 movements will appear for viewing sessions along with a variety of Panerai made calibers, embracing the 8-day GMT P.2002, the automatic 10-day GMT P.2003, the 8-day manually-wound chronograph P.2004 as well as the established P.2005, hand-wound tourbillon caliber with a 6-day power reserve.

The Panerai's exhibition, dubbed "Movements In Time" will take place at the chic Landmark Atrium, Central (Hong Kong). It will be held for 4 days, within the period of July 26th -July 29th. The visiting hours will be from 11:00AM to 8:00PM.

Officine Panerai is proud to unveil a new bold timekeeping creation - Radiomir Egiziano watch. True watch connoisseurs could admire the new timepiece at SIHH 2009.

The Panerai watch represents a fresh interpretation of a special model created by the company for the Egyptian Navy in the middle of the 1950-s. The original model was manufactured in a very limited number of about 50 pieces that are naturally highly collectible nowadays. The oversized watch was meant to possess a really strong and indestructible construction.

Panerai has enlarged its Scuderia collection with a new timepiece - Ferrari Scuderia Chrono 1/8th second. The sporty watch catches the glance by its aesthetic characteristics. It demonstrates the yellow shield, the distinctive feature of the Scuderia Collection, yellow hands, and the Tachymeter scale. You will notice two subsidiary counters for highlighting the minutes and for the 1/8th-second function. The rotor is engraved with the legendary Prancing Horse.

The chronograph watch is equipped with the Panerai calibre OP XXI movement. The 42-jewel movement performs 28,800 alternations per hour. The timepiece has been created in a limited edition of 300 pieces.

The Ferrari Scuderia Chrono 1/8th second watch has been inspired by the Enzo, the fastest Ferrari car ever. It provides the sense of acceleration and preciousness and possesses the unique nature of the limited edition, being based on the use of the most advanced technology, the same as the Enzo. read more

Both timepiece collectors and Officine Panerai enthusiasts will be offered a perfect opportunity of visiting a free public exhibition in Singapore, planned for opening early July 2009. The exhibition in question will display the Panerai in-house P.9000 family of manufacture movements.

The first time for Panerai to announce the P.9000 calibers and the Luminor timepieces to accommodate them was at the 2009 edition of the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, in January.

Three various movement interpretations, the caliber range embraces, are equally equipped with an automatic mechanism and two spring barrels, providing an exceptional three-day power reserve. The new movements are enclosed in timepiece cases, closely based on the Luminor 1950 from the Manifattura selection.

The Panerai P.9000 exhibition will take place through July 8th and 9th, from 11AM to 6PM at Singapore's Asian Civilizations Museum. The media representatives can also see the showpieces on July 7th.

Along with the entire selection of P.9000 movements and watches, Officine Panerai will display a special group of Manifattura line timekeeping companions.
