The new IWC watch is available with a 46 mm round-shaped case crafted from stainless steel. It sports an imposing bezel, produced from the same material. On its front side, the case is assembled with a top quality sapphire crystal.
The black dial is completed with Arabic numerals, hour-markers and steel hands, dressed in bright orange Superluminova.
The compound mentioned makes the dial visible even in most extreme low-light situations. These details produce a stunning contrast to white elements of the sub-dials.
The new IWC watch is powered by a self-winding caliber 51613 movement. Incorporating 62 jewels, this mechanism beats to the rhythm of 21,600 vibrations per hour and provides a respectable 168-hour power reserve.
Alongside with indicating hours and minutes, the caliber brings to life the additional functions of day, date, day of week, month, four-digit year as well as that of moon phase.
The IWC Orange Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar watch offers certain technical upgrades over its predecessors. The brand’s craftsmen have equipped the day of the month display with an arrow-pointed hand. The same hands are featured in the sub-dials, which indicate the current month and the day of the week.
The counters mentioned are found at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock respectively. They are joined by the moon phase complication at 12 o’clock as well as the four-digit year, presented in the aperture at 7 o’clock.
A black alligator leather strap, embellished with yellow stitching, rounds off the enthusiastic appearance of the new IWC watch. It will be offered in a limited edition of 250 pieces.
