Omega Unveils Seamaster Aqua Terra XXL Small Seconds Limited Edition Watches
Omega is pleased to unveil its new limited edition timepieces - the Seamaster Aqua Terra XXL Small Seconds Limited Edition.

The new Omega watches demonstrate a classic style and are sculptured in 18K rose or white gold. They have successfully united the aesthetic values of a classic wristwatch and innovative present-day technology.

The elegant dial is created in white enamel on two levels. The time is indicated by blue steel hands featuring laser-cut vintage Omega logos. Omega Welcomes Visitors to Renovated Museum in Biel
On May 3rd, after several months of sweeping renovation, the Omega Museum in Biel opened its doors to the visitors. Created in January of 1984, this oldest museum is located just opposite Omega’s headquarters in Biel.

Devoted to a single watch brand, the museum exhibits numerous showpieces, which eloquently reflect the brand’s entire history. The 160-year old bench, which belonged to the esteemed master Louis Brandt, is among the exhibits.

According to Omega’s president, Stephen Urquhart, the period of renovation was similar to an archaeological dig. He also added that the project of the building restoration prompted the brand’s management to review its entire collection.  read more


New Members of Omega Constellation Family
In 2009, Omega has enlarged its iconic Constellation collection with a range of new models to satisfy any taste. The newly-designed timepieces are inspired by the famous Constellation Manhattan watch unveiled in 1982. The new highly refined timepieces reveal new dials.

The new Omega Constellation watches are available in five sizes, with cases measuring 24mm and 27mm in diameter, 31mm and 35mm, and 38mm models. They are crafted in stainless steel, 18K yellow or pink gold. The new range also comprises models in combination of steel and 18K gold, and diamond-paved models.

The dials of the 2009 Omega Constellation watches are in a range of colors, including champagne, silver, black, mother of pearl, and chocolate. The dials adorned by a refined guilloche pattern showcase the applied Constellation star at 6 o'clock.

Lauren Woolstencroft Bestowed with Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Watch
The Canadian skiing athlete Lauren Woolstencroft has greatly impressed true sport enthusiasts. She has taken gold in each of five events held within the framework of the Vancouver Paralympic Winter Games in March.

Omega’s Boutique at Geneva International Airport
The renowned watchmaking house Omega has recently inaugurated its sixth boutique in Switzerland. Similar to other brand’s stores, the new location at the airport in Geneva demonstrates Omega’s four main lineups: Speedmaster, Seamaster, Constellation and De Ville.

Apart from the acclaimed timepieces, the brand has been launching since 1848, the aforementioned boutique reveals Omega’s Fine Jewellery and Fine Leather Collections. They are kept company by the novel Aqua Terra Eau de Toilette pour Homme, which happens to be the company’s first fragrance.

The Omega sales point will be adjoining to the Hour Passion Boutique, opened by its Swatch Group partner Tech-Airport. The latter is a leader in airport distribution of timekeepers and jewellery. Both boutiques are located in the Airport’s Departure Transit Zone.

The new Omega store occupies an area of 35 square meters. Just as well, the illustrious watchmaker has boutiques in the centre of Geneva and other cities of Switzerland, such as Zurich, Lucerne, Berne, and Interlaken.

Omega Unique No. 8 Collection to Mark 2008 Beijing Olympic Games

Omega Official Timekeeper of Olympic Games for the 23rd time
Over 10,500 world class sportsmen representing 205 nations will be competing for medals, glory and honour in 28 sports from August 8 to 24 in Beijing.

Omega will be present throughout the Olympic Games, acting as Official Timekeeper for the 23rd time, responsible for recording, displaying and distributing the results.

Omega's New Advertising Campaign
The leading horological company Omega is currently involved in a big advertising push, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the brand’s iconic Co-Axial escapement.

The Omega advertising visuals show the brand’s ambassadors, with the magnifying glasses, which are surely of great importance to the esteemed specialists in watchmaking.

Omega Takes George Clooney's Photos in Laglio
Villa Oleandra is the name of George Clooney's home in the village of Laglio located on the shore of Lake Como in northern Italy. The Oscar-winning actor also owns an old factory connected to the villa. There the actor has a private office and creates his professional projects.

The Omega team was invited to Laglio to take photos of the famous star, intending to take some of the photos in the factory. The old factory, a working space of the actor, is comfortably furnished. The place is also provided with a pinball machine and a collection of old railway clocks, each featuring time in a different time zone.

The story of George Clooney's relationship to Omega watches goes back to his childhood. As a child, the imagination of the actor and his friends was captured by the space race. The Omega Company had been closely associated with America's space program. George Clooney recalls that he and his friends had drawn Omega logos on their own watches. In 1969, the year of the first lunar landing, George's uncle sent him his first Omega watch. Now George Clooney is the brand's Ambassador, wearing Omega watches.

Omega And Zhang Ziyi Introduce 2009 Constellation Timepiece
The Swiss watch-making house Omega has officially released its Omega 2009 Constellation watch line to the Asian market.

The famous actress Zhang Ziyi, an ambassador for the brand, was actively involved in the process. The event was held in the company’s new flagship boutique, located in the chic SOGO department store in Shanghai. Shortly afterwards, a festive concert took place at Shanghai Concert Hall.

Stephen Urquhart, Omega president, showed Ms. Ziyi into the premises. Not only as an Omega ambassador, she was appointed in 2008, but also as a dedicated Omega watch lover, Zhang Ziyi was really interested in seeing the inside of the watch-making world.

This beautiful lady and outstanding actress, having starred in such films as "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", "The Road Home" and "Memoirs of a Geisha", was offered a unique opportunity she enthusiastically grasped: sitting at the watch-making bench, she partially assembled a mechanical movement, instructed by the watchmaker from the Omega Company.

According to Ms. Ziyi, the core values of Omega such as credibility, achievement and pioneering spirit, coincide with those of her own. She is honored to be associated with Omega, for this company has a strong foothold in China, having started its activity in the country in 1895.

The box of the Omega Constellation watch will expose the autograph by Zhang Ziyi to be performed in a drawing at the Omega headquarters, based in Shanghai.

The brand’s values and its creations’ advantages were also successfully presented through the concert. The elegant banners, demonstrating the Omega Constellation timepiece with an image of the graceful Zhang Ziyi against a background of cherry blossoms, were exposed above the red carpeted stairway, leading to the Shanghai Concert Hall.

The work of the illustrious fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti, this picture will represent a part of the brand’s 2009 communication campaign for the Constellation line. George Clooney Poses for New Omega Campaign
Imagine George Clooney with a watchmaking loupe on his eye and wearing a white lab coat. The famous actor, one of Omega's worldwide brand ambassadors, posed for a set of photographs for the "Watchmakers Wanted" campaign held by the brand. The campaign is aimed at recruiting skilled applicants for building careers with the watch brand.

The photographs, depicting George Clooney in a moment of intense concentration, were shot by celebrated photojournalist Greg Williams. In a subsequent interview George Clooney commented that the Omega watchmakers were quite surprised to see the actor putting three or four of the watches together.
