Hublot Unveils Official FIFA World Cup Watch

May 25, 2010
Hublot has signed one of the most prestigious agreements in the history of watchmaking and football. The brand is to represent the Official Timekeeper and Official Watch for the forthcoming two FIFA World Cup events in 2010 and 2014.

Hublot is proud to become the first ever watchmaking brand in FIFA World Cup history to represent the Official FIFA Timekeeper and have a presence on the substitution board.
To celebrate this prestigious partnership, Hublot has created the official licensed timepiece of the FIFA World Cup.

The new Hublot watch reflects the gold of the highly coveted FIFA World Cup Trophy. The case, bezel and dial of the Hublot Official FIFA World Cup watch are sculptured from 5N pink gold. At 6 o’clock, the dial of the watch demonstrates a subtle tone-on-tone drawing of the FIFA World Cup Trophy. The solid-gold case-back also reveals an engraving of the Trophy.

The “Classic Fusion” case of the Hublot watch measures 45mm in diameter. The gold bezel, demonstrating vertical satin finish, is affixed by 6 titanium H-shaped countersunk, polished and locked screws. The bezel lug is produced from black composite resin. Sapphire crystal with interior anti-reflective treatment shields the dial.

The heart of the Hublot watch is an automatic-winding movement - HUB1112 caliber. The 21-jewel movement offers a 42-hour power-reserve.

The timepiece is 50-meter water-resistant. It is presented on an adjustable black alligator gummy strap equipped with a deployant clasp in gold with black PVD finishing.

The Hublot Official FIFA World Cup watch will be issued in a limited edition of just 100 numbered pieces for the price of 29,500 US dollars.
