Issued in a limited series of 100 pieces, the new Nomos Glashuette watch employs a 35mm round-shaped case. It is rendered in stainless steel. The same material is used for the bezel and crown. The top of the model is shielded by a sapphire crystal. Its bottom is solid. The case provides 30-meter water-resistance.
The new Nomos Glashuette Tangente Alma Mater Special Edition Wempe 100 watch comes equipped with a silver-plated, galvanized dial. It is completed with Arabic numerals, baton-shaped hour-markers and heat-blued, baton-shaped hands.
The display indicates central hours and minutes. The small seconds are shown at 6 o’clock. The distinctive feature of the dial is a red “academic quarter hour” scale between 12 and 3 o’clock.
Giving life to the functions is a Swiss made hand-wound Nomos Alpha caliber movement, based on ETA Peseux 7001. Decorated with 17 jewels, it runs at the rate of 21,600 vibrations per hour and allows for a 45-hour power reserve.
The new Nomos Glashuette watch is attached to a Horween Shell Cordovan black leather strap, finalized by a steel pin buckle.
