DOES t touch expert leaks????

Hey all, good to read positive comments for a change, most people I know that own this watch (the previous T-Touch) have had nothing but problems and warned me off from even considering it. Main problem being water resistance, even when washing their hands water seeped into the barometric sensors and screwed them up. Repairs in Central America run nearly at the cost of the watch. Now with the new 100 meter claim this problem should be resolved. I will wait a while and see if anyone here has issues in the future. Hopefully not as its an awsome watch that I want for my collection.

I don't own a Tissot T-Touch Expert myself, but I've heard a great deal of positive things about the model from my friends who are great fans of hitchhiking. the watches seem to be really reliable and they are 100 meter water-resistant. don't think they are leaky.

Supposedly they are leaky?

I bought my Tissot T-Touch on a Carribean Cruise. Titanium, extremely light weight, especially if you have carpal tunnel symptoms or don't like a heavy watch. Sapphire crystal never scratches. I have around 10 watches, and now realize I only needed 1. What a great watch! Also, for those that don't realize, the T-Touch is touch/temperature driven. When I jog, if it's cold, and I have gloves on, will simply touch the face with the tip of my tongue and wa-lah! No need to remove your gloves. Am hoping to get a "expert" model, simply because I would like the backlight feature.
Could not me more happier with this watch. Have had it for over 4 years, and not ONE problem!!!

The T-Touch Expert is a gentlemen's multifunction watch. The Suunto is a sport watch. THERE IS NO COMPARISON.

I got the T Touch Expert 2 weeks after it's NA release, 6 months prior to the world release. Prior to the T Touch Expert TI. I had a Suunto Observer. I love the Touch very much but the only thing I wish it had the Suunto has was when skiing the T touch only shows you your altitude drop and speed if you're in the altitude mode which means after each run you have to take your gloves off touch the screen and see the run before. The Suunto stayed on the screen, showed you cumulative speed and the speed of the previous run plus it kept count of all the runs. If you want a cool CLASSY watch from a great brand go for this BUT if you want to spend half the money to get the same features and don't care too much about the name and class SUUNTO cannot be beat. Cheers

Compare An Apple with An Aple don't compare Apple with Orange.
You cant compare a Mercedes with a Ssang Yong, so you cant compare a Tissot with a Cassio either.

Suunto and Casio are completely different animals - period. I've had my Tissot T-Touch Expert fot a while now and it works flawlessly. I own a Suunto and Casio. This watch stands alone. They all have their great features but cannot be compared to each other in my opinion. This Tissot model has been impressive so far.

Hi there
i strongly suggest you search the internet before purchase. In my opinion these watches are unreliable and customer service is very poor there are stories of woe all over the world. they even make the back of the watch look like it has a professional watch compression type torque down. It just prises off. service on the watch is half the value AVOID! sugest Sunnto or Casio if its the altimeter you need

Tissot T-Touch is excellent, especially for those who like gadgets. My watch goes on an extremely comfortable synthetic band with a good closing clasp. It’s not heavy. It’s really high quality and comfort. Recommend it to all my friends. It seams to do the whole range of functions it's advertised to do very well.

Been wearin T-Touch Expert titanium for 1 month now. Nice watch, great features and good looks. If only the watch and the bracelet is also scratch proof aside from the the saphire cristal. I wish that it comes with some sort of identification chip that pops out your name when you scan it in the computer like the ones in Omega watches ...that will be even better. But I have to buy an omega to get that sort of thing. On the conterary, Tissot and omega was a dual brand..

I can’t say am a watch fan or something. I generally prefer durable not expensive watches, like Casio, but now I’m caught by the Tissot T-Touch Expert. I’m sure it’s a great watch for any man who goes in for sports or simply likes active lifestyle. It’s not a cheap one – around $ 1000 but it’s surely worth the price with its ergonomic design and extreme functionality. Moreover, it’s developed as a really durable piece. The touch screen of the watch is an amazing feature – just touch it with your finger and choose the function you need - alarm, compass, barometer, altimeter...

I have had the stainless T-touch for about 8 months now, and it's holding up very well. At first I was super careful with it and just admired it, but after a few months it has become my daily wear watch whether at the office or in jeans and a t-shirt. I don't understand some of the reliability issues from posts on other websites, mine is ticking right along flawlessly! I occasionally have to synchronize the digital and analog times but it is an easy procedure (magnetic fields or shock to the watch causes out-of-sync). The only extra care I take is not to shower with it or submerse the watch.... I believe the t-touch expert is the one with a better water resistance rating. Grade A+!!!!!!

Here is a post about how the Tissot is holding up. I have two and the one I wear is holding up flawlessly. I have been wearing the same one everyday for a while now and I must say that this watch is probably one of the most durable watches that I own. I have several high end watches to compare with. I'm trying to get rid of one since I don't need two as I had received one as a gift. You definitely won't go wrong with this timepiece. I think it's worth the money and built to last. The titanium is lightweight and very strong.

This post is for those asking about Tissot reliability and function (not necessarily the t-touch expert). I have the stainless T-touch for 5 months now.....initially bought it as a sports watch, but find myself using it for work or dressy occassions (I bought a stainless band to compliment the case). It has kept accurate time and has never malfunctioned in "touch" mode, using the compass, chrono, altimeter, etc. It is very good looking and feels solid on the wrist (this is not a light watch!). If you are going to be truly physically active i'd go for the Titanium....lighter on the wrist and probably has similar durability or better than the solid steel case. Love the watch, no regrets!!

I just got the Tissot T-Touch Expert for my birthday and they did not realize I already had one for a little while. I just bought it a couple of months ago. I will sell mine for 800.00 anywhere in the U.S. All in it's original box. It is in excellent condition and has not been worn much. This is a definite bargain for what they are currently going for. Let me know if you are interested. I am from Massachusetts.

I agree you shouldn't have to pay. I would contact the seller and try getting a replacement watch. Don't know where you bought it from but they should at least make a replacement or a refund.

The Tissot is holding up nicely on my wrist. The l.e.d. is quite useful and long needed. I only wish that they were more readily available for everyone to enjoy. It is really an impressive timepiece and I hope that it is with me for the long haul. I think it will, being the level of quality I have experienced so far. NIIICE.

The new T-Touch Tissot Expert seems to be created as a secret wish toy for a man of any lifestyle. And it's really stylish. First of all, the watch has a truly ergonomic design - I adore its clean lines and a finely-polished titanium case. Great advantage is its sturdy construction -the watch is designed to resist a lot of wear and tear it can be subjected to when actively used outdoors. The touch screen of the model is so impressive; it provides so many functions with the mere pulse touch of your finger, so you easily navigate through all the functions - an alarm, compass, barometer, altimeter, etc. In short, I highly appreciate the watch's extreme functionality and nice design, and user-friendliness.

Just sized my watches last night and wearing it today. Bought sizing kit on Amazon - amazing what you can do with the right tools. The watch is really great. Requires a little reading to set everything but no problems. I have several watches and this is my first Tissot and I'm liking it.

Until Sept 2008 they are only available in USA, Canada and Swiss. In Toronto I bought one for 1200 taxes and extended warranty included at European Jewlery in the Eaton Centre. Very hard to find them. Amazing watch very very easy to use and VERY accurate.

Just got my new Tissot T Touch Expert. You will only be able to get them from select Tissot Dealers - at least that is what Tissot told me when I called asking for one. They will not be available on the website for a while. Call Tissot and ask what dealers in your area will have them. If in NYC - Kenjo at 40 West 57th has them - ask for Victoria
