Audemars Piguet Creates New Royal Oak Offshore Ladies Chronograph

In 2009, Audemars Piguet has unveiled a majestic watch collection for ladies - the Royal Oak Offshore crafted in forged carbon, an ultra-light, chemically stable material with outstanding mechanical performances and silky smooth to the touch.

The case of the ladies’ watch, 37mm in diameter, incorporates an octagonal bezel in ceramic. There is also a steel insert adorned with 32 round brilliant diamonds in combination with hexagonal screws, the signature feature of the Royal Oak collection.

The black dial of the is embellished with the exclusive "Mega Tapisserie" motif. It features a black small seconds counter at 6 o’clock and 30-minute and 12-hour counters at 3 and 9 o’clock respectively. It is completed with applied white luminescent Arabic hour numerals and baton hour and minute hands in white gold. The dial is highlighted with red accents on the chronograph hand in the center and the minute scale.

The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Ladies Chronograph watch accommodates the self-winding 2385 caliber. The movement boasts all parts perfectly decorated by hand, reflecting the best haute horlogerie tradition. With a balance frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, the movement provides 40 hours of power reserve. Besides the column-wheel chronograph, the movement also offers a date display that is really easy to adjust with help of the rubber-coated winding crown. The push-pieces are also rubber-moulded.

The blackened steel case-back of the watch, reviewed by Watches.InfoNIAC.com, reveals a medallion engraved with the Royal Oak Offshore logo.
