The new Alpina watches demonstrate a “Full Black” dial and guarantee precision timekeeping as they accommodate an advanced automatic movement - Calibre AL-980 built from 188 details. The movement boasts a Silicium Escapement Wheel and an innovative development: a Silicium lever.
The new in-house automatic Manufacture Tourbillon Regulator movement required three years of thorough research and development undertaken by the brand’s team of designers, engineers and watchmakers. The new caliber was based on the highly-appreciated Manufacture Regulator caliber. Besides the Silicium Escapement Wheel and Silicium lever mentioned above, the unique movement is also special for its Smart Weight Balancing, fast oscillation at 28, 800 vibrations per hour and a Tourbillon cage bearing an individual number.
The 33-jewel movement offers a 48-hour power-reserve.
The case of the new Alpina watches measures 48 mm in diameter. It is sculptured from either titanium incorporating a pink gold bezel, or from pink gold with a black ceramic bezel. The three-part case is secured by six triangular stainless steel screws. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal. The watch is 100-meter water-resistant.
The matt black dial is completed with nicely brushed steel Alpina Double-Digit indexes. You will notice a number of elaborate design details, including satin-brushed touches of black in the center of the “Regulator” sub-dial, skeletonized hands crafted in black brushed steel, uniquely decorated bridges in the Tourbillon cage and a black PVD one-of-a-kind Alpina oscillating weight, to be seen via the sapphire crystal case back.
The new Alpina Extreme Tourbillon Regulator Manufacture watches have smartly united sports features with present-day technical complexities. The timepiece is presented on a black rubber strap equipped with a deployment buckle.
