The new Corum movement has been inspired by the legendary Golden Bridge. It features the immediately recognizable shape, but totally different dimensions, components and technical peculiarities.
The Ti-Bridge watch, powered by the new linear CO 007 movement, is characterized by taut lines and makes one feel its resolutely dynamic character. It has successfully united sophisticated design, architectural codes and contemporary materials.
Corum master watchmakers have opted for titanium to produce both the movement and case of the Ti-Bridge, a material highly appreciated for its remarkable lightness and durability.
The movement’s bridges and plates are crafted from titanium. All parts of the movement boast meticulous finishing. The upper bridge is engraved with “CORUM”. The bridges are satin-finished. The considerably sized barrel reveals a snailed finish. The movement provides a 72-hour power reserve.
The curved tonneau-shaped case of the Corum watch, also crafted from titanium, measures 42.5 mm by 41.5 mm. The face of the timepiece
is protected by a large convex sapphire crystal, while the satin-finished case-back incorporates a central rectangular sapphire window that allows to drop a glance at the movement. The case demonstrates alternating surface finishes, being polished on top and satin-finished on the side.
The time is indicated by open-worked Superluminova coated hands that provide optimal visibility under any light conditions.
The Corum Ti-Bridge watch is presented on a crocodile leather strap fitted with a titanium-capped triple folding clasp.
The exclusive timepiece will be available in a limited edition of only 750 pieces in 2009.
