Breitling Navitimer Blue Sky Limited Edition 60th Anniversary Watch - The Legend Lives On

Oct 05, 2012
This year, the Breitling Navitimer chronograph, the cult timepiece among pilots and aviation fans, celebrates its 60th anniversary. Initially unveiled in 1952, the model has been loyal to the aesthetic codes of the original, today representing the worlds oldest mechanical chronograph that is still in production.

To mark the anniversary, Breitling unveils its Navitimer Blue Sky Limited Edition 60th anniversary watch. The novelty, featuring an elegant dial in an eye-pleasing shade of blue, will be available in a limited number of 500 pieces.

The 43 mm case of the new Breitling watch is rendered in steel and is 30-meter water-resistant. The face is protected by a cambered sapphire crystal, glareproofed on both sides. The magnificent dial is surrounded by a silver inner bezel. The chronograph seconds hand in the center is accentuated by red.

The heart of the timepiece is a self-winding chronograph movement - Manufacture Breitling Caliber 01. You can drop a glance at the movement via the transparent case-back. The 47-jewel movement, operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, offers over 70 hours of power reserve. It is officially chronometer-certified by the COSC.

You will notice that the series number is engraved on the case middle at 9 oclock.

The Breitling Navitimer Blue Sky Limited Edition 60th anniversary watch is presented on an exclusive dark blue crocodile leather strap, on the Navitimer bracelet or on the highly original perforated Air Racer bracelet.
