Movado launches a new watch collection of attractive and functional watches for men and women. The name of the collection is Movado Master.
The
Movado Master watches feature dynamic design, inspired by the powerful industrial and architectural peculiarities of the Bauhaus movement. The timepieces reveal the purity of the signature Museum dial.
The angular tonneau-shaped case is crafted in solid stainless steel. The case construction has a screw-down crown and a gear-edge black sapphire bezel or a bezel set with two rows of diamonds, and raised door-style hinges. The flexing hinges serve as attachments for the black or white rubber strap strap, providing supreme comfort of wearing. The strap is fitted with a deployment buckle.

The new line of
Artists’ Series watches was created by the brand of
Movado to remind of the psychedelic 60’s. Based on the
Museum Face architecture, the dials of the watches from the Artists’ Series feature true pieces of art, which is uncommon for Movado: this watchmaker usually produces such watch dials blank.
Surprising as it may seem,
Kenny Scharf was a child in the 1960’s and early 1970’s, the period of time his paintings are very much associated with. He earned his fame much later, in the 1990’s. Since then, Scarf has been considered to be a pop/fine artist.
The Movado specialists have opted for
six Scharf paintings and used their miniatures for the dials of the watches from the unique limited series collection. The latter is restricted to just 125 pieces for every model.
Each timekeeper
case, sculptured in stainless steel, features a conventional case-back.
Every timepiece is animated by a
Swiss quartz movement and fitted with a sapphire crystal.
Attached to these watches are
two leather straps: the first is performed in a custom color and the second one echoes the colors of the dial, changing with every model.
The brand of
Movado has proposed exclusive Artists’ Series limited series timepiece lines since 1987.

The
Movado Collector’s Edition series has been joined by the new Series 800 Datron watch. The new timepiece has been inspired by the classic 1970 Datron automatic chronograph.
The
Movado Series 800 Datron watch features a tonneau-shaped case, measuring 40mm in diameter.
The timepiece accommodates the
ETA caliber 2894-2 automatic chronograph. The 37 jewel movement gives an advantage of a 42-hour power reserve. The case construction incorporates an anti-reflective sapphire crystal and an exhibition case-back. The timepiece is 50-meter water-resistant.
At 12 o’clock on the dial, you will notice the round date aperture paying tribute to the brand’s signature Museum dot.
The
dial is created in two variations - a black dial with silver sub-dials and a silver dial with black sub-dials.
The Movado Series 800 Datron watch is coupled with a
bracelet featuring a combination of brushed and polished stainless steel fitted with a butterfly deployant clasp.
The watch will be available from May, 2009.
