Devoted to Grace Kelly, Her Serene Highness Princess Grace of Monaco, the collection was for the first time presented at a spectacular event in Monte-Carlo, Monaco. It is also scheduled for exhibitions at two gala events in New York (November 2011) and Los Angeles (February 2012).
The new Montblanc Princesse Grace de Monaco Collection watch is strictly limited to 8 pieces. It is available in an 18K red gold case. Its back side is engraved with the Princesse Grace de Monaco monogram.
The ingenuity of the case lies in its unique shape, created especially for the princess. At 3 o’clock, the model features a diamond-set crown. The case sports elegant horns and a bezel, highlighted by the sparkle of 76 sparkling baguette-cut diamonds. Their total weight comes to 3.30 carats.
The bezel gently hugs a delicate mother-of-pearl dial. The face of the new Montblanc watch is embellished with brilliant-cut diamonds - 10 of them serve as hour-markers. The hour-indexes are joined by a three-dimensional drop cut pink sapphire, set to satisfy the exquisite taste of the princess.
A flange of the model also dazzles the public with a myriad of diamonds. The total number and weight of these jewels and those decorating the dial constitutes 177 and 0.56 carats respectively. The dial ensures central hours and minutes, while small seconds are shown at 6 o’clock.
A white alligator leather strap further enhances the beauty and refinement of the new Montblanc watch. It is secured to the wearer’s wrist with a buckle, paved with 76 brilliant cut diamonds, totaling to 0.32 carats.
