PCA has willingly entered into the partnership with Tag Heuer to create this horological marvel, which has a rich racing history behind. It dates back to 1969, when the watch company pledged its support to Jo Siffert, the Swiss racecar legend. This event inspired Siffert’s friend, the US actor Steve McQueen to wear the brand’s Monaco watch in the film Le Mans. Both the renowned driver and the accomplished actor contributed to the huge popularity of the Monaco Chronograph in the racing and fashion worlds of the 1970s.
On the occasion of the 55th birthday of the PCA, Vu T.H. Nguyen, the executive director of the Porsche Club of America, and Georg Bartkowiak, a member of the Porsche Club of Germany, have joined their forces to produce a limited series collector’s watch. This remarkable project has been undertaken by Bartkowiak, since he is an internationally acclaimed watch product manager as well as CEO of high-grade luxury watch brand Grieb & Benzinger Platinum.
Watch aficionados can already order the breathtaking limited series TAG Heuer Monaco watch. However, it will be delivered only in September.
The eye-catching automatic timepiece reveals its exceptional character, acquired due to an alluring dial, featuring red and black rally stripes and the racing number “55”, as well as thanks to the PCA’s logo engraved on the back.
The display of the TAG Heuer watch also exposes steel hands and hour-markers, treated with a luminous compound. It ensures that the time can be easily read even in poor light conditions. Adding the final note of harmony to the design of the watch is a special black leather strap with racing holes and red stitching.
The exclusive limited series TAG Heuer Monaco watch for Porsche Club of America is destined to become a cherished item for the collectors all over the globe.
