The new Mido watch is delivered in a stainless steel 316 L case. It is offset by a unidirectional rotating diver’s bezel, which securely holds a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. At 3 o’clock, the case reveals a screwed winding crown. The water-resistance of the case is assured down to 200 meters.
The brand’s qualified specialists have also equipped the new Ocean Star Captain watch with a transparent back part, which allows the owner to admire the intricate workings of a self-winding ETA 2836-2 movement. It measures 25.60 mm in diameter and stands 5.05 mm in height.
Adorned with 25 jewels, the mechanism operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a 40-hour power reserve. It utilizes a Nivaflex No mainspring and is endowed with a Nivacourbe shock protection system.
The movement breathes life into the functions, presented on a blue dial in monochrome relief. Reminiscent of the ocean waves, it captures the time with black and white skeletonized hour and minute hands, highlighted with Superluminova. Taking care of seconds is a red hand. The indexes are also applied with Superluminova. Additionally, the display offers day and date indications, shown in the aperture at 3 o’clock.
The new Mido watch is coupled with a stainless steel 316L bracelet, enhanced with a folding clasp.
