Merea TriRetrograde Seconds Skeleton Joaillerie - Precious Creation from Milus

Jun 18, 2010
At Baselworld 2008, the prominent watchmaker Milus was delighted to introduce its bewitching mechanical watch, named Merea TriRetrograde Seconds Skeleton Joaillerie. Designed in a unique style, this timepiece is a nice reflection of a multi-faceted feminine universe.

The Merea collection has borrowed its name from the pulsating, puffed-up star Mira, a red celestial body that periodically grows bright. In complete alignment with the brand’s philosophy, every Merea watch eloquently demonstrates its variable character.

Responsible for the Merea collection being extended with the marvelous TriRetrograde Seconds Skeleton Joaillerie watch is the success encountered by its predecessor, TriRetrograde Seconds Skeleton watch. Extremely light, this timepiece represents an original marriage of refined watchmaking and exclusive jewelry art.

Born under the keen eyes and dexterous hands of the brand’s major specialists, this novelty celebrates the union of charismatic design and technical excellence. As it name suggests, the new Milus watch offers an extremely useful retrograde seconds function, incorporated into a dynamic three-part case, sculptured in 18-carat white gold.

The undeniable highlight of the Milus watch is surely its seductive dial, artfully studded with white and black diamonds. This breathtaking embellishment continuous on the bezel, the bracelet attachment elements and the oversized crown, lending this model an especially glamorous touch.

Shielded by an oval, lightly curved sapphire crystal, the dial strikes the eye with its highly personal design. It is performed in three different layers. To begin with, the brand’s craftsmen have embellished the movement base with circular graining. It is followed by the application of an iridescent layer of mother-of-pearl, which produces a subtle interplay of color. On the third level, the dial features irresistible white and black diamonds.

The watch display proudly reveals three silver-colored seconds hands, which sequentially jump back after each 20 seconds. Located at 6, 10 and 2 o’clock, they glide clockwise in “flying relay”. These jumping seconds hands are brought to life by an exclusive Swiss-made mechanical movement with automatic winding.

On its backside, the precious watch is equipped with a round sapphire crystal exhibition window, which provides a stunning vision of the movement and the skeleton oscillating rotor, sculptured in the shape of the Milus logo.

The Milus Merea TriRetrograde Seconds Skeleton Joaillerie watch is presented on a black galuchat strap.
