Meet Maurice Lacroix Caldera Pontos Decentrique GMT Watch

Jun 09, 2011
Maurice Lacroix is happy to introduce a unique watch, named Caldera Pontos Decentrique GMT. Developed by Patricia Urquiola, designer and architect, it portrays a very clean design, yet endowed with a playful side.

The new Maurice Lacroix watch is set in a 43mm case. It is crafted from micro-blasted stainless steel. The top of the model is protected by a convex sapphire crystal with glare-proofed treatment. Its screwed back part is also fitted with a sapphire glass. The case is submersible to 50 meters.

Ticking inside the model is a hand-decorated automatic mechanical ML 121movement. It is embellished with 30 jewels.

The mechanism animates an array of functions, featured on a micro-blasted silver dial. It employs a bathtub design style.

The face of the new Maurice Lacroix Caldera Pontos Decentrique GMT watch reveals an off-centered display, indicating hours, minutes and seconds. It is overlapped by the second time zone, smaller in size. The date indication appears in a micro-blasted brushed silver aperture at 6 oclock.

Both time zones are equipped with black printed hour-markers and rhodium-plated hands, luminous at night.

A genuine black calfskin leather strap completes the features of the new Maurice Lacroix watch, to be auctioned online. All the proceeds raised will be donated to the Global Diversity Foundation.
