Ulysse Nardin Presents its New Marine Chronograph Manufacture Watch

May 28, 2013
Ulysse Nardin debuts its new Marine Chronograph Manufacture watch. The novelty reflects the brand’s values of innovation, reliability and high precision. Moreover, it demonstrates an enamel Grand Feu dial and is animated by the UN-150 movement with a silicium balance-spring – these peculiarities have been manufactured independently in-house. It is a limited edition of 150 pieces.

The new Ulysse Nardin watch boasts a generously sized case, measuring 43 mm in diameter. It is sculptured in 18K pink gold. Shielded by an sati-reflective sapphire crystal, the dial of the watch boasts perfect readability. The case-construction incorporates a fluted bezel and a screw-locked crown for complete water resistance. The solid lugs provide excellent stability on the wrist. The timepiece is 100-piece water-resistant.

The dial gladdens the eye by its purity, paying tribute to the founder’s designs. To come up with the unique Grand Feu enamel dial, the skillful craftsman applies the enamel in many layers, and every layer is fired at a temperature of about 900°C. As a result, the pure white background becomes completed with intense black Roman numerals for hours, a railtrack minute circle and counters.

The brand’s automatic chronograph Caliber UN-150 provides a 48-hour power reserve. The 322-component mechanism with a silicon escapement is beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The movement animates the following functions: hours, minutes, small seconds positioned at 9 o’clock, a date aperture at 4.30 and a chronograph function presented via the seconds hand in the center, a minute counter at 3 o’clock and an hour counter at 6 o’clock.

The Ulysse Nardin Marine Chronograph Manufacture watch is teamed with a leather strap or a rubber strap fitted with an 18K rose gold or titanium details and a folding buckle. One can also wear the model on an 18K rose gold bracelet.
