Carl F. Bucherer Manero ChronoPerpetual Watch - Functional Layout and Appealing Design

Sep 08, 2010
Carl F. Bucherer is proud to introduce its amazing Manero ChronoPerpetual watch. Its aesthetic appeal lies in a clever blend of functional layout and alluring design.

The Carl F. Bucherer exclusive watch captures the time with elegant tapered hour and minute hands. Highlighted with Superluminova, they ensure that the time can be easily read even in poor light conditions.

The model is also packed with an array of additional features, such as a precise chronograph, equipped with a flyback function; a perpetual calendar with a correction-free display of the date at 12 o’clock; the day of the week, indicated at 6 o’clock as well as the month and the leap year, presented at 9 o’clock.

The counters mentioned feature inner and outer sections. They are separated by a fine black line and further set apart by different colors and finishes: brushed silver contrasts beautifully with matte white.

The inner tracks of the sub-dials, located at 6 and 9 o'clock, are meant for indicating chronograph’s hours and minutes. Taking care of them are short hands, dressed in black. The progression of the chronograph seconds is marked by the large centralized seconds hand.

The outer tracks of the counters, nestled at 6, 9 and 12 o’clock, are fitted with longer gold hands, which serve to indicate the aforementioned day, month and date.

The silver-colored dial is visually balanced by the moon-phase indicator, located at 3 o’clock. This complication portrays a modern design: it features a silver-colored moon disk, standing out against an anthracite-colored background. The tachymeter scale completes the set of useful features, provided by the new timepiece.

The functions described are brought to life by a reliable self-winding mechanical movement - caliber CFB 1904. It has a diameter of 30 mm and is 7.6 mm high. The caliber is coupled with a 22-carat rose-gold oscillating weight. Set with 49 jewels, the mechanism offers a 50-hour power reserve.

All the technical treasures are housed in an appealing 18K rose gold or stainless steel case. It measures 42.5 mm in diameter and is 14.3 mm high.

On the front side, the case of the new Manero ChronoPerpetual watch reveals a sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective treatment. The same glass is used for the case-back, which opens the view to the movement. The water-resistance of the model is down to 30 meters.

The Carl F. Bucherer watch is teamed with a hand-stitched Louisiana alligator leather strap. It is finalized by a pin buckle, sculptured in 18 K rose gold or stainless steel.

The issue of the model is limited to 150 pieces for the stainless steel version and 100 pieces for the version in rose gold.
