L.Leroy Delivers Marine Automatic Deck Chronometer Watch

Nov 24, 2011
The house of L.Leroy has taken the wraps off its new Marine Automatic Deck Chronometer mens watch. Its inspiration was found in on-board chronometers, used by sailors.

The new L.Leroy watch is executed in a round-shaped pink gold case. It measures 43mm in diameter and is 12.3mm thick. On the front side, the case is armed with a glare-proofed sapphire crystal. The same glass is used for its engraved back part. The case handles the depth of up to 100 meters.

Ticking inside the new L.Leroy Marine Automatic Deck Chronometer watch is a hand-wound L511 movement, skillfully decorated by hand. It has a diameter of 26.20mm and is 6mm thick.

The movement incorporates a central oscillating weight in 22-carat gold and a variable-inertia balance with gold regulating screws.

It is also endowed with a KIF shock protection system for the balance. Paved with 36 jewels, the caliber runs at the rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour and supplies a 42-hour power reserve.

The watch functions are presented on the black dial. Completed with Roman numerals and a railroad-type minute track, it marks the passage of central hours and minutes. The small seconds tick away in a counter at 12 oclock. It is counterbalanced by a power reserve indicator at 6 oclock.

The new L.Leroy watch goes on a black leather strap with white stitching. It is finalized by a pin or folding buckle.
