Linde Werdelin

Last year,
Linde Werdelin proudly unveiled its new watch collection dubbed The SpidoLite. The collection brought out an innovative skeletonized case sculptured in titanium. The watches accommodated a 1970’s automatic movement modified by
Svend Andersen, a famous Danish-born watchmaker and founding member of the AHCI, in his Geneva Atelier.
Linde Werdelin's creative team came up with a
unique skeletonized case that was drilled, with just the frame left. The case construction was provided not only with maximum durability, but also extremely light weight.
It is interesting to mention that the idea of creating a lighter timepiece belonged to
Leo Houlding, a professional mountaineer who conquered Everest. It took the brand a few years to successfully develop the idea of removing all parts that are not necessary on a watch case. They came up with a a much lighter case with a powerful aesthetic appeal.
