Portraying a minimalist and pure design, the new L’Epee clock proves that sometimes less is indeed more. It is issued in a limited edition of 12 pieces. The novelty is available in a cabinet, which measures 120mm in diameter and 148mm in height. The cabinet features a metal base with an Italian blown glass (transversal cut).
This glass permits the glance into the intricate workings of a Swiss made mechanical 1853 T caliber movement, built on 18 jewels. As the name of the new of L’Epee Tour-Billon clock suggests, the standard escapement in its structure gives way to a carrousel-type tourbillon device with a 2-sword upper bridge.
The decorative elements of the caliber include a Cotes-de-Geneve finish and palladium treatment. The caliber supplies an 8-day power reserve. It animates hour and minutes. The model is rewound manually by means of a design key.
The new L’Epee clock testifies to the brand’s loyalty to the traditions of horological innovations, with the history traced all the way back to 1839.
