The timepiece manufacture Alexander Shorokhoff has won its fame by producing aesthetically exceptional mechanical watches. Their birth would be impossible without close cooperation of highly qualified watchmakers and expert engravers, who focus on maintaining unique Russian traditions and temperament.
Now, the brand is delighted to present a new skeletonized Graf watch within its Leo Tolstoy collection. The novelty draws and holds the eye with an authentic Russian ornament, presented on a curved dial.
The peerless artisans have deliberately removed a small part of material in order to better reveal floral motifs and breathe life into a new Alexander Shorokhoff watch.
It took the specialist about 10 days to create one dial and one movement to power the model. Performed by hand, all the procedures, such as engraving, guilloching and skeletonising, required herculean concentration, precision and professionalism.
An irresistible piece of art, the display is equipped with refined hour-markers. Gliding smoothly over them are hot blued steel hands, which serve to indicate hours, minutes and seconds. Additionally, the dial comprises two elegant counters, located at 3 and 9 o’clock.
The face of the new Graf watch is gently hugged by a screw bezel, brightened by VSI, Top Weselton diamonds. The bezel securely holds a high-grade sapphire crystal. The same glass is used for the back side of the model.
The bezel is incorporated into 18 ct rose gold case. It is endowed with a sophisticated winding crown, featured at 3 o’clock. The crown is joined by two pushers, positioned at 2 and 4 o’clock. The water-resistance of the new model is assured down to 5 atm.
At the heart of the timepiece is beating a hand-engraved skeletonized and refined movement, also designed in Russian traditional style. As its base the mechanism uses caliber 3133.Poljot. Boasting hot blued screws, the movement is endowed with a 500-hour long checking system.
The new Alexander Shorokhoff watch is coupled with a dark-toned alligator leather strap.
