Van Cleef and Arpels Lady Arpels Extraordinary Butterfly Watches - Spectacular Design and Brilliant Performance

Sep 07, 2010
The new Lady Arpels Extraordinary Butterfly collection, manufactured by the vintage watchmaker Van Cleef & Arpels, is impossible to dislike.

Inspired by butterfly, a symbol of renewal, the line includes five spectacular timepieces, beautifully named Parvana, Vanessa, Euthalie, Kimama and Caligo. Each version is strictly limited to eight pieces.

The new Van Cleef & Arpels watches strike the eye with a marvelous combination of bright colors and scintillating diamonds.

Imbued with femininity and emotion, each item shows off a stunning dial.

It is an outstanding master Dominique Baron, who for the first time applied the "stained-glass" enameling technique in order to capture the butterfly in full flight on a three-dimensional display.

Each Lady Arpels Extraordinary Butterfly watch employs a 38 mm case, sculptured in white gold. It echoes the design, developed by Pierre Arpels for the remarkable PA 49 timekeeper, issued in 1949. On its side, the case is engraved with the brands name - Van Cleef & Arpels.

The interior life of each new model is represented by the self-winding mechanical Caliber 830P movement, characterized by extreme reliability. This mechanism serves to animate the functions of hours and minutes.

Every Van Cleef & Arpels ladys watch within the new range comes fitted with a crocodile leather strap. It terminates in a white gold buckle, breathtakingly inset with dazzling diamonds.

Irresistibly attractive, these timekeeping companions will continue to turn heads long after they make the first impression.
