Claude Meylan La Repetition Watch - Timeless Elegance Backed by Technical Advances

Dec 02, 2010
The horological company Claude Meylan is proud to unveil its new La Repetition watch. As its name suggests, the model is endowed with a minute repeater mechanism. When the wearer presses the button, it strikes the hours and every five minutes.

This device was initially developed for the wearer to know the time in poor light conditions. Today the minute repeater is appreciated for its beauty, technical precision as well as the quality of its sound.

The mechanism mentioned is incorporated into a self-winding caliber ETA 2892 movement. It finds a natural home in an 18 K-rose gold case, measuring 42 mm in diameter. The case of the new Claude Meylan watch boasts top and bottom high quality sapphire crystals.

It is also equipped with a winding crown, located at 3 oclock and a minute repeater button, featured at 8 oclock. The model is built to be water-resistant up to 20 meters.

The new La Repetition watch is adorned with an appealing cream-colored dial. It is completed with black-painted Roman numerals and a delicate dark-tone minute graduation.

The numerals and minute-markers contrast nicely with a light background of the display. The latter is swept by two Breguet type hands, taking care of hours and minutes. They are supported by a long slender hand, pointing to seconds. All of them are performed in black.

The timepiece presented is delivered on a honey-colored crocodile leather strap. It joins to a pin buckle in 18 K rose gold. The new Claude Meylan watch will appeal to those, who prefer timeless elegance, backed by technical advances.
