Claude Meylan La Grande Classique Watch - Flawless Details

Dec 01, 2010
The horological world is delighted to welcome the new La Grande Classique men’s watch, manufactured by Claude Meylan.

An exceptional chronometer, the company’s marvelous brainchild successfully unites traditional and modern elements. A worthy descendant of classic hand-made and hand-engraved models, the new Claude Meylan watch is set in an 18-carat white-gold case. With a diameter equal to 38 mm, it boasts top quality sapphire crystals on both sides. The case is equipped with an artistically designed winding crown, nestled at 3 o’clock. It is kept company by two pushers, located at 2 and 4 o’clock.

Housed in the case is a satin-finished, silver-plated or anthracite dial. It reveals Arabic numerals and intermediate indexes. The centralized light or dark-toned hands mark the passage of hours, minutes and seconds.

The display of the new Claude Meylan La Grande Classique watch is also equipped with a 30-minute, 12-hour and 60-second counters, positioned at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock respectively. The 12-hour sub-dial is allied with a moon-phase indicator. At 12 o’clock the dial exposes two separate exhibition windows, which show day and month. The date, meanwhile, can be read off from an additional central hand. It glides over Arabic numerals, arrayed on the extremity of the display.

Giving life to these functions is a hand-engraved mechanical movement - Valjoux calibre 88. It incorporates pillar wheels and chamfered steel parts.

The model is coupled with a crocodile strap. It is finalized by a pin buckle in white or 18 K rose gold. The new Claude Meylan watch will meet the most stringent expectations of the discerning, man looking for flawless details.
