The timepiece, conceived by Mathias Buttet, founder of Confrerie Horlogere, is limited to just 24 pieces, corresponding to 24 time zones.
La Clef du Temps demonstrates a unique design. It is devoted to the idea that one should have a possibility to manage one’s time.
La Clef du Temps allows its owner to “modulate the speed of the time”. The watch incorporates a three-position crown found opposite 9 o’clock. The crown allows to change the running speed of hours and minutes that are featured at 2 o’clock.
The three positions of the crown are the following:
- Crown position 1 slows the time pace by half (implying that the value of one hour is shown as a half-hour).
- Crown position 2 keeps the time pace the same (implying that one hour is one hour).
- Crown position 3 doubles the pace of time (implying that a half-hour is transformed into a full hour).
The smart watch knows how to make nice moments in life twice as long and shorten unpleasant moments by half. Yet, you can “return” to real time as soon as you wish. The complicated mechanism inside the watch keeps time indications in positions 1 or 3 as long as its owner needs – it is just necessary to return the crown to position 2 to make the watch show the real time of day.
The dial features retrograding running seconds at 4 o’clock, while a power-reserve indication in a 120 degree sectoral indicator is found at 8 o’clock.
Watch connoisseurs will be stunned by the movement in the shape of a stylized human brain. The futuristic case of the timepiece is sculptured in grade 5 titanium. It is coupled with the strap built from eight rubber-clad strands. The strap is fitted with a deployment clasp demonstrating the Confrerie Horlogere logo.
