Sarpaneva Korona K2 Kaamos Watch - Dim Veil of Light

Nov 30, 2010
Stepan Sarpaneva is pleased to unveil a new version of his signature Korona K2 watch named Kaamos.

Translated from Finnish, the word Kaamos stands for the mystical winter time with the sun not rising above the horizon and the land cloaked just in a dim veil of light. Named after this phenomenon, the new Sarpaneva watch demonstrates black DLC-coating.

The Sarpaneva Korona K2 Kaamos watch shows off a three-part dial and a date disc. The impressive stainless steel DLC-coated dial paralyzes the glance by its spiders web-like skeletonisation. Its dark nature is gently lighted up by the luminous coating on black rhodium-plated hands and indexes.

The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with multi anti-reflection coating inside featuring SARPANEVA print.

The stainless steel case measures 42mm in diameter. It accommodates a Soprod A10 Calibre automatic movement that gives an advantage of a 42-hour power-reserve.

The 25-jewel movement, operating at a frequency of 28, 800 vibrations per hour, has been modified to incorporate the Sarpaneva transparent date disc and embellished with perlage.

The Sarpaneva Korona K2 Kaamos watch is secured to the wrist on a leather strap. The timepiece is 50-meter water-resistant.
