Hamilton Unveils Khaki X-Landing Watches for Pilots

May 13, 2010
The famous watch manufacture Hamilton takes great pride in announcing its imposing duo of Khaki X-Landing watches. The watches’ charismatic design immediately brings to mind the first all-metal aircraft of 1920s. Alongside with their flawless exterior, introducing a note of nostalgia, the new Hamilton watches also boggle pilots’ imagination with their matchless exactitude.

The novel Khaki X-Landing watches utilize the benefits provided by the most modern technologies to eloquently narrate the story of aviation. The pilots use these watches to check their position in the air.

This indication, expressed in feet, is arranged at 9 o’clock position and controlled by the crown at 10 o’clock. Due to the integrated standard descent angle of 3 degrees, the Khaki X-Landing watch is capable of displaying the number of nautical miles before the final destination. This value, presented in a small, dedicated window, denotes the start of the optimal descent. Another element, which pays tribute to aviation, is the watch bezel, revealing 24 different time zones.

Carefully thought out down to the smallest detail, each of the Khaki X-Landing watches has been issued in limited series of 999 items.

The first version of the Hamilton aviation-devoted watch is available with a 44 mm case, sculptured in stainless steel. The other interpretation features a dark grey PVD-treated stainless steel case, with the same diameter. Its water-resistance is down to 100 meters.

The novel Hamilton Khaki X-Landing watches demonstrate a black and silver dial, protected by a sapphire crystal. The watches are powered by the 7754 caliber movement. They are presented on an integrated leather strap or a metal bracelet.

Hamilton was founded in 1892 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA. This brand’s timepieces represent a subtle meeting of American spirit and unequaled accuracy inherent to the newest Swiss movements and technologies. This watchmaker has built a strong reputation in Hollywood, with its creations appearing in more than 350 movies.
