Audemars Piguet Jules Audemars Moon-Phase Calendar in True Spirit of Fine Watchmaking

Jan 26, 2011
In 2011, Audemars Piguet is pleased to unveil its new Jules Audemars Moon-Phase Calendar watch that has inherited the natural elegance of authentic classics.

The new timepiece demonstrates an elegant round case crafted from pink gold. The streamlined bezel frames a highly legible dial that provides astronomical indications in the clearest possible way.

The 39 mm case of the new Audemars Piguet watch looks light and almost ethereal. The creators of the watch opted for the slender bezel in order to provide maximum dial opening and its supreme readability. The case construction is 20-meter water-resistant.

The silver-toned dial has been executed with great refinement. It is embellished with a delicate satin-brushed finish. The date and moon-phase displays stand out due to their snailed inner decoration and are framed by a decorative fillet. The dial is completed with applied pink gold baton-shaped hour-markers. The time is indicated by pink gold hour and minute hands.

The self-winding movement beating inside the new Audemars Piguet watch has been assembled and decorated with meticulous attention to every detail. The movement bridges are bevelled, polished and embellished with Cotes de Geneve motif, while the mainplate is circular-grained. The 45-jewel movement is constructed from 215 parts.

Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, the movement offers 40 hours of power reserve.

The Audemars Piguet Jules Audemars Moon-Phase Calendar watch embraces the wrist on a hand-sewn brown crocodile leather strap with large square scales. It is fitted with a pin buckle in pink gold.
