Offered in a limited edition of 88 pieces, the new Jaquet Droz watch catches the eye with two images of Imperial Dragon, a symbol of the year 2012 according to the Chinese horoscope. The animals’ figurines, each with a pair of horns, ten claws and four teeth, are fighting over a pearl on an ivory dial. The latter is created, utilizing grand feu enamel technique.
The face of the new Jaquet Droz Petite Heure Minute Dragon Majestic Beijing watch features an off-centered display, fitted with classical Roman numerals as well as streamlined lancine hour and minute hands, made of gold.
The display is controlled by a Swiss made in-house automatic JD caliber 2653 movement, built on 28 jewels. It incorporates a 22kt white gold. The movement runs at the rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour and supplies a 68-hour power reserve.
The caliber is hidden inside a 43mm rose gold case. Its front and back sides are fitted with sapphire crystals. The water-resistance of the case is assured down to 30 meters.
A rolled-edge, hand-made brown alligator leather strap completes the features of the new Jaquet Droz watch.
