
As the name of the new Jaeger-LeCoultre watch implies, it is a collaborative project between the brand and Zep, the Swiss cartoonist of "Titeuf" comic series. Encouraged by his visit to the manufacture last April, the renowned artist came up with the idea of personalizing a dial in enamel of the Reverso a eclipses in pink gold.
Enamelling just as engraving is a rare and complicated technique, developed by Jaeger-LeCoultre. Today, the company’s workshop has three craftsmen highly experienced in this technique. Creating one-of-a-kind pieces, they remain true to the time-honored values, while combining them with advanced technologies.
The new Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Zep watch ensures hours and minutes. Keeping it secured to the wearer’s wrist is a brown leather strap.
The new Jaeger-LeCoultre watch will be put up for an auction to be held in Paris, on November 29, 2011. The proceeds raised from the sale will be donated to Monaco Association against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
