The company’s brainchild is set in a round-shaped 40mm case, rendered in 18-carat rose gold. The same material is employed in manufacturing of its bezel and crown. The top of the new Jaeger-LeCoultre watch is shielded by a high-grade sapphire crystal. The same glass is used for its bottom. The water-resistance of the case is assured down to 50 meters.
The model accommodates a Swiss made manufactory-made hand-wound JLC Caliber 876-440B movement, produced and decorated by hand. It incorporates a twin-barrel system, which ensures an impressive power reserve of 192 hours (8 days).
The caliber animates an array of useful functions, presented on the silver dial. Equipped with rose gold hour-markers and hands, it indicates central hours and minutes. At 1 o’clock, the user can see a day/night indicator with a small aperture, which turns red between 10 PM and 3 AM. Thus, it denotes the time when changing the date can damage the movement.
The face of the new Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Eight Days Perpetual 40 watch also offers a day of the week counter, allied with a moon-phase indicator. Located at 9 o’clock, it is counterbalanced by a date sub-dial at 3 o’clock. Indicating the month is a counter at 6 o’clock. Moreover, the dial reveals a power reserve indicator at 11 o’clock and a 4-digit year display between 7 and 8 o’clock.
The new Jaeger-LeCoultre watch is teamed with a brown leather strap.
