The new IWC watch is executed in a 45mm titanium case. Its water-resistance is assured down to 1200 meters. Ticking inside the case is a Valjoux-based caliber 79230 movement.
The mechanism animates an array of functions, presented on the black dial. It is accented with blue and white luminous touches.
The new IWC Ingenieur Double Chronograph Titanium watch offers central hours and minutes. The small seconds tick away in a counter at 9 o’clock. The day and date indications appear in the exhibition windows at 3 o’clock.
The chronograph functions are assured through a 30-minute sub-dial at 12 o’clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock as well as central seconds hands.
Thus, the dial exhibits two separate stopwatch mechanisms that are utilized to estimate two separate events of different durations. The moment one of the seconds hands is moving, the other one can be stopped, started or reset to zero.
Characterized by absolute precision, the new IWC watch is attached to a black rubber strap.
