Aug 21, 2009
The exclusive models manufactured by Patek Philippe are in all likelihood the most valuable luxury watches in the world. No matter how simple the model, put up for an auction is, its price can increase incredibly in the course of the event mentioned.

The watch and clock auction house Antiquorum always chooses one or two of the Patek Philippe watches to be presented the auction. This time, Antiqorum decided on a timepiece from 2000, which is performed in a simple manner of Patek Phillipe and equipped with some necessary complications.

Quite simple in its appearance, the wristwatch, reference 3939HP, offers a tourbillon and a minute repeater functions.
The watch case is sculptured in platinum. The timepiece, specially customized by Patek Phillipe, features the pictured black colored dial and an independent silver color dial, necessary to be swapped in by a watchmaker.

With its Arabic numerals and a seconds counter, this watch seems to be alluring, yet rather simple in its exterior. The Patek Phillipe brand intentionally made the watchs complicated movement invisible.

The side of the Patek Philippe watch reveals a level, which activates the minute repeater. The tourbillion, meanwhile, can be admired though the case-back display.
