Limited Series Chronograph from Cuervo Y Sobrinos

Aug 12, 2009
Cuervo Y Sobrinos, currently Swiss owned horological company, has been taking the iconic Cuban watch brand to totally new frontiers.

Launched as a limited series of just 50 items, this novel vintage styled timepiece includes some exceptional features that set this model apart from its siblings.

The watch case, measuring 41mm in width, is sculptured in 18k rose gold. It also features a highly polished surface and certain details inherent in classic design: rectangular chronograph pushers and the lug design.

It should be noted that the design calls attention back to the 1940s as well as an original timepiece model, created by Cuervo Y Sobrinos at that time.

The watch demonstrates an extremely useful dial. It also offers up a touch of sportiness, presented by the bi-compax chronograph and tachymetre. The dial, performed in black against a white background, provides an accurate reading of the hours.

The chronograph counters demonstrate applied rings. The chapter ring is also applied.

The watch case is assembled with a sapphire crystal. Another sapphire crystal on the case-back shows off the fascinating details of the movement, which is another vintage element of the watch. It is a Venus calibre 188 hand-wound 30-minute chronograph movement.

This timepiece is a perfect union of retro design and advanced technologies, providing unparalleled functionality.
