New Models From Riviera Magnum XXL Collection

Jul 13, 2009
Baume & Mercier has enlarged its Riviera Magnum sports timepiece line by two novel models – a limited series “all black” chronograph, offering a flyback function along with a skeletonized dial and an athletic three-pointer and date display model.

Both watches are presented in a new XXL size: they boast a diameter of 45 mm. The previous interpretations’ diameter was equal to 43 mm.

The distinct features of these two innovative newcomers to the Riviera Magnum collection include much more than just their lavish size. They are also notable for a case, one side of which resembles the shape of a car radiator grille, novel hollowed hands, a larger crown as well as a new rubber strap, which demonstrates pure lines and is fitted with an adjustable triple folding clasp.

Alongside with the novelties introduced, the new Riviera Magnum XXL timepieces are characterized by the sporting, refined features of the iconic Riviera collection - solidly affixed to the case by four black PVD-treated screws, the twelve-sided bezel has been typical for the Riviera assemblage since 1973.

The watches also boast 200-meter water-resistance, attainable due to the case construction with its screw-down back and crown. Another time-tested attribute of the models in question is scratch-resistant glareproofed sapphire crystals, which guarantee optimal durability and accurate reading of the hours.

These timepieces surely retain the highest degree of excellence as well as the respect for the fine craftsmanship’s rules, which have become a perfect basis for Baume & Mercier’s strong international reputation.

An unrivalled blend of refined technology, up-to-date aesthetic and unparalleled functionally, the innovative Riviera Magnum XXL timepieces are undoubtedly intended for action and performance.
