Citizen unveils the AIBATO M watch offering Bluetooth support. The new Citizen watch boasts not just a wireless connection to a mobile phone. It also provides remote camera control, implying the watch wearer can remotely trigger his/her camera shutter via the timepiece. It accesses e-mails, phone calls and messages.
The Citizen AIBATO M Bluetooth watch has been created in two colors - the black version is coupled with a rubber strap, while the silver version goes on a metal bracelet. The Bluetooth watch weighs just 100 grams.
To charge the AIBATO M watch, it is necessary to use the supplied kit dock and the full battery charge will make up for 5 days.
When you get phone calls or messages, the wristwatch displays a warning. It is also possible to adjust the sound or vibration signal.
The Citizen AIBATO M Bluetooth watch may be used together with some certain models of Sharp and Softbank handsets. It will be available for sale in Japan starting with July 1 2009.
