Orient Watches to Make USA debut - 11/17 on ShopNBC @ 10PM Est.

Nov 16, 2008
Orient will be making their USA debut this Monday on ShopNBC. As some other articles on Watch Infoniac have detailed so eloquently, having the chance to own an Orient watch is an exciting opportunity. And finally that opportunity is Now in the USA.

Orient quality sets their watches apart from other watch makers in the same price range. Most watch makers in this price range spend less money on quality and more money on advertisement. Orient, on the other hand, spends that money on in house movements and the addition of the power reserve indicator, usually not found in watches of this price range. It is easy to see that Orient is this industry's best kept secret.

So why should you buy from ShopNBC and not another online source? With the exception of Amazon, ShopNBC is the only licensed dealer of Orient Watches in the US. If you purchase an Orient watch from another source and try to send it in for repairs, Orient will not honor the warranty. In fact, you will receive the watch back in the mail with a letter instructing you to tell Orient where you acquired your illegal watch and to ask for a refund.

Ask a Question

The question is why I should buy product from a company which does not stand behind their own product. It is not a counterfeited watch, why Orient wouldn’t fix if it’s crapped out? So much for consumer treatment… Good start on a new market.

Actually, if you shop on Amazon, only the watches sold directly from Amazon.com are covered under the warranty (It will say "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com").

Amazon, itself, is a licensed vendor, but the other sellers (Just Brands, Dalias Watches, etc.) are not.
