Nov 11, 2008
Maintaining its pioneering spirit, Hublot, led by its CEO Jean-Claude Biver, have introduced watch displays into the 21st century.

On November 5, in Lausanne, Mr. Biver was proud to unveil the Fusion Explorer system, a one-of-a-kind high-tech watch display. The system allows fans of watchmaking view a particular watch model at different angles. The appearance of the system has marked the first time that Web 3.0 technology has been used within the watchmaking industry.

In the heart of the system there is a mechanized mini-camera, an innovative development of the Dietlin Artisans and FiveCo companies. Visitors of the Hublot website can access the unique mobile camera for two minutes, to get 360-degree views provided with help of a powerful zoom system of up to 40-power. Moreover, the system provides six programmable viewpoints, an option of automatic navigation, independent LED lighting and visitors' geographical analysis.

The Fusion Explorer system shows the product from every angle, focusing the viewer's attention on the tiniest details. This is a giant step forward as the most innovative way of demonstrating watchmaking savoir-faire.

According to Jean-Claude Biver, the Fusion Explorer system represents an exciting project, managed by real entrepreneurs. It will allow a greater number of watch enthusiasts to discover unique items via the Internet. This way, Hublot moves from the infinitely small to the infinitely large, sharing with everyone interested its deep passion for the beauty of the art of watchmaking.
